My name is Angel Pittman and I am excited to continue my eighteen years of work with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship as field personnel serving in Miami, Florida in my new role as an Educational Advocate. I am passionate about helping people in the urban context thrive. I have been actively leading out in collaborative urban initiatives for over two decades. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University.
For fifteen years, I served in leadership at Touching Miami with Love and helped guide the organization as they serve nearly 400 children and youth in holistic daily programming in two of Miami-Dade’s most stigmatized communities. As a community leader, I have been named "Miami Leader" class of 2017-2018 by Miami Foundation, "Woman to Watch" by Global Women, profiled by Baptist Women in Ministry in "This Is What a Minister Looks Like," and named AXA Advisors 2013 Businesswoman of the Year, in the Non-Profit category.
I love working with others to create impact. I enjoy speaking on the topics of educational equity, Biblical justice, and racial reconciliation. I have a passion for mentoring and have had the privilege of working with several impactful leaders. When I'm not trying to change the world, you can find me hanging out with my amazing husband of twenty-five years, my incredible sons, crocheting, drinking coffee with friends, or reading.
